Day three of the Flemington Carnival brings us quite an intriguing nine race card headlined by the Group One Kennedy Oaks over 2500m for the 3YO fillies. The meeting on face value looks a little more straight forward than Cup day, which would be a welcome relief to many who may have empty pockets to replenish! Best Bet: R8 N1 She’s Extreme

Classy filly with coming out of a race that produced the Derby quinella. Drawn to get all the favours from barrier one and her dam was a WA Oaks and Derby placegetter over 2400m. Hard to beat.

Next Best Bet: R9 N18 Greece

Has been scratched due to wet tracks twice this campaign which is a negative, but if she takes her place you’d have to assume the team thinks she’s right to go. Won like a Group 1 filly at Geelong and can go on with it here.

Best Value Bet: R7 N14 Torgene

This 4YO by Mongolian Khan scored a tough first up win at Cranbourne on the heavy and comes into today with 4 weeks between runs. She has plenty of untapped potential and the step to 1600m suits.
